I have been trying to create a new piece since the beginning of September and I have run into one problem after another. I ordered Blick materials, but sent them back, only to find the end pieces to the cross braces this week. I could not believe it when I found them. I felt so stupid.
My painting say is usually Sunday. Cleaning, laundry and grocery shopping take a long time, so I picked the one day to paint. I returned the cross braces to Blick a couple of weeks ago and ordered from Soho. On Sunday, my regular painting day, I went to visit a dear friend and we had a fabulous lunch/spa day. So today, I got out my painted strips while Lil J was supposed to be sleeping. No luck. However, Dad took him to the park. Some days he can be so considerate. Thank you, J.
I stretched pre-painted strips from an old piece over the empty canvas. Then I had to re-stretch it because it just didn’t look right. I tried to move forward and start cutting metal mesh but I feel so tired. this is not my optimal time of day. I am very tired and would like to go lay down. But I thought I would post this first, the success of working for 1.5 hours. I know what I want it to look like, but I am not sure how to get there. At least I took one more step today.
